Kenneth C. Eck
Director of Safety &
Environmental Services

Mr. Eck is responsible for directing and coordinating the safety and environmental service activities of the organization. This EH&S division of QuES&T provides consulting services for occupational safety, industrial hygiene, lead based paint, storage tank management, emergency planning, hazardous waste, environmental management, indoor air quality and terrorism/industrial security.

Mr. Eck has provided inspection, project design and management, and investigation services for numerous projects serving hospitals, industrial/commercial, government and education facilities. These projects have included;

Environmental Assessments/Remediation
Building Inspections
Emergency Response
Facility/Worksite Audits
Sample collection & Analysis


Mr. Eck has over 20 years experience in the EH&S field and has directed numerous projects in the area of Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Site Remediation, UST closures, Environmental sampling/characterization, IAQ investigations, Lead/Asbestos Abatement, waste disposal, compliance document development, emergency response and emergency/terrorism planning. He has extensive knowledge in on-site project management, project development, project bidding, specification interpretation and development, environmental sampling, hazardous materials, contract management, and enforcement requirements. Mr. Eck holds certifications as a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist and Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners. He has served as a technical reviewer for several National Safety Council Publications and has lectured in several countries.

During the Past 15 years has held the position of safety & risk manager for the Rockland County BOCES, and previous to that he was the assistant Director of Safety for Tilcon Quarries of New York. Mr. Eck also serves as a deputy team commander for the Rockland County HAZ-MAT Team and as a reserve deputy sheriff for the Anti-terrorism Analysis Group in Rockland County.
